There is some confusion about what numbers to use in an emergency, so I have phoned Honeydew Police, and this is what they have told me.

For Police Emergencies only.

1. Emergencies Call 10111 - this gets to a call centre where the call is logged and services despatched
2. Honeydew Ops Rooms are the emergency numbers at the station (011 801 8613/4/5) that can be called, but they will not log the call, it is better to call 10111, call these other numbers to make sure that someone is coming
3. The trauma unit 082 448 9337 is ONLY for trauma counselling, if you have been a victim of violent crime ONLY
4. The response vehicle, ours being Sector 2 (083 679 0207), is not for emergencies, it is to report suspicious vehicles/people/incidents so that they can investigate them.
