Membership of the Association is open to all residents in the area of concern who subscribe to the aims and objectives of the Association.
Why should you become a member of the RCW?
For the achievement of the RCW objectives and efficient running of the Residents Association we need all residents in the area to sign up as members. To enable the RCW to provide these services, the residents need to become proactive as a community, talk to their neighbours, become involved and maintain their contributions on a continual monthly basis.

The RCW needs to increase participation, approximately 54 out of 146 are contributing and benefiting from the patrolled area. The residents could pay a dramatically reduced levy and could receive additional benefits if all residents would contribute. The RCW do not want to think of the consequences if the association would disband due to lack of funding and support.

By becoming a RCW member, you:-

  1. Benefit by having 24 hour guards patrolling our streets. When suspicious persons or vehicles enter our community, the guards will monitor their activities and if necessary escourt them out of the area.
  2. Benefit from a panic button system giving you two an added level of security in an emergency.
  3. May be elected to the Committee.
  4. Live in a safe, secure and tidy neighbourhood where the value of your property is likely to increase due to the desirability of living in this neighbourhood.

What are the residents asked to contribute?
To provide ongoing security, residents are asked to contribute a monthly levy per household of R210. In addition, a debit order fee, currently R9.60, is charged to facilitate the debit order collection process.
Levy payments can be made by debit order, eft, cheque or cash.
Donations are also very welcome.

How do I become a member?
To become a RCW member please complete the membership application form attached and email or fax it to us. You can also put it in the RCW post box at the guardhouse.

How are contributing members identified?
By a board attached to their gates. This board shows the RCW logo. The purpose of this board is to show the support of the RCW by the community and for the guards to effectively provide assistance to paying members. These boards will remain the property of the RCW and will be removed should any household stop contributing to the RCW.
